We will look for owls and Nighthawks, and maybe we will see some late mating Woodcock, and elusive Black-crowned Night Herons, and Eastern Whip-Poor-Wills.

Owl Prowl

"Who cooks for you?" "Who cooks for you?" a common phrase we hear from one of our native owls in the night. Come join us at CEC in the MC Davis room to learn about these birds and their superb adaptations that suit them for night time hunting. We will then go on a starry night hike to see if we can find any of our feathered friends on the property. Make sure to dress for the weather and one of the goals is to have as little light as possible. If light is needed please try to bring a red lamp.
