Salamander & Frog Walk

  • Cope Environmental Center 1730 Airport Road Centerville, IN, 47330 United States (map)

Have you ever been outside on a cool rainy spring night and heard the symphony of frog calls coming from your pond or the creek? Join us for an amphibian filled night as we explore our wetlands to see all the amazing frogs, toads, and salamanders that are singing and breeding. We will learn how to identify different species and look at what their eggs look like. We will also talk about what conditions are best to see large groups of amphibians and how you can help them survive and be successful in laying eggs. Dress for the weather and have clothing and footwear that can possibly get wet or dirty.
