Gardening For The Birds

  • Cope Environmental Center 1730 Airport Road Centerville, IN, 47330 United States (map)

Please join us for a fun filled evening focused on flora and fauna! Landscape & Naturalist Leader for Richmond Parks Dept. Laura Karnes and Cope Program Manager Jeremy Proeschel will be showing us how we can create beautiful native landscapes that will benefit our native birds. We will discuss when, where, and how, on planting native plants and why they are so beneficial to native birds. We will learn about habitat restoration and the symbiotic relationships that happen between certain species of plants and birds. Laura will have example plants to show folks and Jeremy will have a visual list of birds that will be attracted to your native landscapes! We will end the program with a tour of our native habitats around Cope and learn how our native plantains have helped protect wildlife, especially birds!
